MARIO CANALI began his artistic career in 1975 as a painter. He then turned his attention to electronic and digital art, of which he was a major precursor and exponent in Italy.
In 1985 founded the computer art group Correnti Magnetiche.  With this group he received significant national and international awards.
In 1992 he starts a research in the field of virtual reality and since 1994 he is producing interactive installations capable of sensing and commutating psychophysical parameters into lights, sound, images and video.
