Ludiialydis 2000 – 2002

The success of the FRAGMENTI event and the inertia of the public institutions spurred Mario Canali to continue his own research on new forms of social interaction.

In a rented industrial space in Milan, with the collaboration of performer Xena Zupanic, the psycho-bar named LUDIIALYDIS opened its doors in the fall of 2000. Collaborators on the project included psychologist Elio Massironi, cabinet maker Leonardo Aurelio and director Domagoj Mazuran.

Open from 10pm to 3am, LUDIIALYDIS is a popular haunt for night owls.
Offering exhibits, installations, performances, theatrical works, video works, music and, most importantly, sounds and stimulation for conversation.

The media coverage was both immediate and overwhelming: newspapers, weeklies, magazines and television were impressed by the innovative character of the initiative.
